Après dix ans d'exil, un mystérieux inconnu revient sur son île natale, où une révolution sanglante à engendré un état de carnaval permanent. Prétendument architecte, celui qui se cache derrière un masque de lapin noir va rapidement se montrer bien plus impliqué dans l'histoire torturée de son pays qu'il n'y paraît de prime abord. Affrontant enfin son passé, il fera alors tout pour réparer ses erreurs et celles de son peuple, quitte à commettre bien pire…
S'inspirant du réalisme magique d'auteurs sud-américains et antillais comme Gabriel Garcia marquez ou Aimé Césaire, Akalikoushin signe une version très personnelle d'Alice aux pays des merveilles et nous offre ici le premier tome d'une saga au souffle épique.
