In the small mining city of Pam-pa, Yeddrick, a young orphan and two of his friends live upon larceny and trafficking of every sort. One day, they meet a traveller a little trusting and awkward that has all the aspects of an easy prey. But when they try to robe him, the latter takes out of his saddle bag a strange urn and lay curse on them!

From now on, decked out in devil horns, his friends missing, and motivated by revenge, Yeddrick starts the pursuit of this odd character who calls himself "The Alchemist". But in a world where demons were persecuted ages ago, it is not good to look like them too much...
